About SuperStack
SuperStack was created as a collaboration between Dave Mence of SystematicAF and Tim Jeffries of Smooth Ops Consulting. As much as you may want to join as a member, it’s unfortunately not a real, actual business :) Read on below…
SuperStack is a case study exploring the process of using Notion, Super and Outseta together in order to quickly, easily, efficiently and affordably build a practical alternative to Substack.
If you distill it down, Substack is essentially just a platform that enables creators to monetize their content by offering paid memberships. Of course it also does a lot more than that, and offers all kinds of amazing interactive community-centric features. But for the purposes of this experiment, we’re focusing on the goal of achieving the core function - a way for a creator to offer and manage memberships in order to monetize their content.
This case study references Substack only because people know it well, but you could say that this is an experiment in building a Kajabi alternative, a Ghost alternative, a Patreon alternative… or even an OnlyFans alternative for that matter. These are all just tools that empower creators to charge for what they create…
And with this exploration, it’s clear that they can create their platform too :)
